Pure and simple, I’m at your wedding to get great pictures, but it’s how I go about my job that I believe makes the difference. My attitude is that if I can do something that will make a picture slightly better then I will. But it’s not just the pictures I’m focusing on, it’s my subjects.  If I can help everyone to be as happy as possible then my pictures of them are more likely to be successful.

Each year I photograph a whole range of different weddings; from grand affairs in castles to marquees, hotels, outside in the woods or just a couple with the registrar, wherever you decide to tie the knot, I will try to photograph your wedding in the way you want.

When you book me for your wedding you not only get my enthusiasm and optimism but also my experience with people and my empathy for my clients.

“Lots of family and friends commented on how professional and unobtrusive you were and everyone was delighted at how quickly we managed to get the formal shots done so we could all get to the party.” Tania & Ruaridh

Pre-booking Meeting

Meeting for the first time you’re bound to have lots of questions even if you’re not sure exactly how to ask them. So over a relaxed cup of coffee, we can explore what is possible through my photographs, albums, and experience with your venue. It is your chance to find out about how wedding photography works and what I can give you as your wedding photographer.

PRE-WEDDING MEETING – It is so important to be organised before the day so that everything runs smoothly. We need to discuss the timing of the day, who’s who in your families, formal group shots and generally the nuts and bolts of the wedding, so we both understand everything that is going to happen.

PRE-WEDDING SHOOT – Time & time again clients have told me how useful their pre-wedding shoot was. How it helped them to relax and generally enjoy their wedding day more, confident that I would be taking pictures they would love.

In a very low key session, I will show you how to stand, what to do with your hands, how to hold your bouquet and answer a multitude of other queries you have buzzing around your head. Then we’ll take some pictures and put everything into practice. You’ll be able to see them online once they’ve been edited and hopefully, the penny will drop and you’ll realize that it wasn’t so impossible after all.

The experience you gain will make such a difference on your wedding day. You will feel more relaxed because you’ve done it before and know what to do. You will feel more confident because you’ve seen pictures of yourselves you love. Now you can be sure that your wedding day pictures will be wonderful.

The pictures make great presents for your parents and the little guest-books are proving very popular.

Because we’ve done the planning you can relax in the knowledge that I will be able to capture a great set of pictures. It’s my most exciting day because I get to do what I really love. I don’t get stressed and I’m always optimistic. My attitude often seems to be infectious.

At an all day wedding I gradually get to know your family and guests. As I take pictures of them through the day I often get more reaction and this produces some wonderful expressions.

After your wedding

I aim to have your wedding pictures ready to view on a password protected page of my website within three weeks of your wedding (sometimes earlier).  However, during some busy times it can take up to six weeks.  I will post some wedding highlights on Facebook soon after your wedding. Please let me know if you do not want me to do this.
I usually write all the wedding and pre-wedding pictures onto a USB card, which I send to you by post soon after I have put them online. If you wish it is possible to arrange a download of your images.

You can arrange a viewing at Grandtully Studio to see a slideshow of your images plus the latest examples of our albums, frames, and ideas for presents.
