Smiles as new website design from Nigel Lumsden Photography goes live.
New look for Perthshire Wedding Photographer Nigel Lumsden.
As I launch my new website I have a genuinely big smile across my face. One of pleasure, and relief. It has been a bit of a task but now, oh so worth it.) And as I browsed through the pages for the umpteenth time checking for typos, I was struck by the sheer number of happy faces gazing at each other or back at me. I smiled again realizing that that’s one of the reasons I love being a wedding photographer.
My site has been designed by Yvette, of Lemonade Design. A colleague recommended her. I’ve never met Yvette but now I have a lot to thank her for. I’m normally a very laid back, unstressed person but I find writing about myself quite difficult. Yvette reassured me and kept me calm. She gave me lots of choice and asked about me and what I do. I sent her a pile of pictures and eventually lots of text. She forgave me when I missed the deadlines and encouraged me rather than getting annoyed. And then suddenly, it seemed, she came up with this great design. I hope you like it.
As a photographer I’m pernickety. The way a shot looks, matters. And that’s good. But when it comes to making a new website my sensitivity can get in the way of the big picture. That’s where Yvette took over. She has, I think, allowed my pictures to do the talking. I like the cleaner simpler lines and the navigation is so easy.
With any luck, visitors will enjoy the site, and it will help them to decide to book the right person to take their wedding pictures. That is after all one of the main reasons I’ve made it. I hope the information is easy to understand but more than anything I hope that the message Please Ask Me! has got through. I really want couples to book me because they like my attitude as much as my pictures as I believe it makes such a difference.
I’m confident positive things will happen. Not just because I’m an optimist but because when I see all these smiling former clients I can’t help being positive. There I go smiling again.
All the best,
