It is estimated that in the past 5 years, more photos have been taken than in all the prior years combined. However less than 1 out of 100,000 photographs taken today will ever be printed. To many people, a “picture” is only good for the moment. Digital images are no longer important enough for most people to be bothered with printing them!

We often don’t print images because we take so many and couldn’t print them all but that’s a poor excuse for not printing the best. And the enthusiasm for printing images once the moment has passed declines very fast.

And yet, how enjoyable is it to review old family prints. I have a case of prints of my family going back to the turn of the century (yes that’s 1900 not 2000). They’re amazing! They tell stories to me that I couldn’t get from anywhere else, given that no one is still around from those times.

So my advice to you is…

And should any disaster ever happen, and I’m praying with you that it doesn’t, your wedding album will be one of the first things you will run to save, as you will almost certainly know which shelf it’s on!

So what do you have to do to get your album?

Quite simply send me a list of the pictures you would like to be in your album. Then we’ll think about the exact album you want to put them in, based on the number of images, size & style of page and obviously overall price. I’ll help with advice but it’s really up to you. I have access to some lovely products including albums from Queensberry, Folio, and The Wee Album Co. They all make cracking albums, which will still look great in 20 years time, and probably much longer.

Once you’ve made these decisions I’ll ask for a deposit and get things underway. I’ll send you a preview of the layout, which is possible to alter. Once changes have been made and you’ve confirmed your approval and paid the balance, your album will begin production. Relax for between 5-8 weeks while the crafty people make you the very thing you always wanted. Something that will make you feel warm and tingly inside every single time you delve into its secrets. (All artistic license justified)

Of course, if you’ve ordered my new Simplicity wedding package then most decisions are taken before your wedding so you will receive your finished album sooner. It will be just as wonderful but earlier.
